December 7, 2018—The Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 54 on Friday ordered the arrest of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for libel charges filed by presidential son Paolo Duterte.

A total of three libel charges against the senator have been filed by the President’s kin, two from Paolo Duterte and another one from Atty. Manases Carpio, the husband of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.

All three charges stemmed from Trillanes’ comments linking the brothers-in-law to the illegal drug trade during a radio interview and at the Senate inquiry on the P6.4 billion shabu shipment issue at the Bureau of Customs.
