WEATHER UPDATE | More rains expected in Luzon due to Habagat – PAGASA

June 14, 2018 – Residents of Luzon will continue to experience moderate to heavy rains on Thursday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
The southwest monsoon, or the habagat, is still affecting the following areas: Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan and Zambales.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding and landslides on the said regions.
The bureau also issued a gale warning over the western section of Northern and Central Luzon, so as the northern and eastern sections of Northern Luzon. This means coastal waters will likely become rough or heavy rough.
Light to moderate rains, meanwhile, will persist in MIMAROPA and the rest of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and CALABARZON region.
The Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao will experience fair weather but with isolated rain showers.
As of 4AM, PAGASA saw no signs of possible tropical storm for the next three days.
