(June 3, 2025) – Pres. Bongbong Marcos has retained 22 more Cabinet officials and heads of agencies — including the secretaries for agriculture, education, labor, and transportation — Executive Sec. Lucas Bersamin said on Tuesday.
In a press conference, Bersamin said the President has declined the resignation of the following officials.

• Department of Education (DAR) Sec. Sonny Angara

• Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Rex Gatchalian
• Department of Health (DOH) Sec. Teodoro Herbosa

Bersamin also clarified that Marcos declined the resignation of Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Sec. Enrique Manalo, but the top diplomat will stay in his current post until his appointment as permanent representative to the United Nations is confirmed.
Based on Malacañang’s previous announcements, Marcos has so far retained Bersamin, Interior Sec. Jonvic Remulla, Justice Sec. Boying Remulla, Defense Sec. Gilberto Teodoro, and the administration’s five economic managers.
The members of the government’s economic team are Finance Sec. Ralph Recto; Budget Sec. Amenah Pangandaman; Economy, Planning, and Development Sec. Arsenio Balisacan; Trade Sec. Cristina Roque; and Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs of the Philippines Frederick Go.
