JUNE 11, 2019 — The Institute of Corporate Directors awarded 48 companies for their high standing in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.
Among those recognized was the Metro Pacific Investments Corp., led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, as well as four MPIC subsidiaries.
Meralco earned the most points in its ASEAN CG Scorecard, followed by Philex Mining Corp., PLDT Inc., and PXP Energy Corp.
The ASEAN CG Scorecard is an initiative under ASEAN’s Capital Markets Forum, tracking the adoption of international best practices when it comes to corporate governance. High-ranking companies are seen to have long-term sustainability and resilience, as well as attractive to foreign investments.
