MAY 16, 2019 — Senator Nancy Binay said on Thursday she is confident that she will land the 12th spot in the senatorial race of the 2019 midterm elections with at least 200,000 more votes.
“I think today I can claim it. The worst case scenario will be 200,000 lang ang lamang ko kay JV,” Binay said.
Despite her likely victory, Binay said it is not a reason to celebrate. Binay is still hoping that her seatmate in the Senate, SenatorJV Ejercito who is currently in 13th spot in the transparency server’s partial and unofficial count, will also enter the winning circle.
In new partial and official count based on the certificates of canvass, Ejercito remains at risk of dropping out of the winning circle at 12th spot.
Binay also worries about the rivalry between her siblings Abby and Junjun in the local elections. She said this affected her votes, especially from confused voters in the provinces.
Binay said.
Binay, however, said she is ready to patch things up with re-elected Makati Mayor Abby whom she said she has not been talking to for 15 years.
