(Abril 12, 2022) – Naglabas ng pahayag ang kampo ni presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos Jr. noong isang buwan na natalo siya sa kanyang pagtakbo bilang pangalawang pangulo noong 2016 dahil sa pandaraya.
Hindi ito totoo.
PAHAYAG:
Inilabas ng kampo ni Marcos ang pahayag matapos ang kanyang campaign rally sa Marikina noong Marso 19. Pinamagatan itong “Marikinenyos vow to protect BBM from being cheated again” na pinalitan kalaunan ng “Marikinenyos commit to help BBM’s vote protection.”
Nakasaad sa parehong bersyon ang sinabi ng kanyang mga tagasuporta na hindi umano sila papayag na dayain ang anak ng diktador sa darating na eleksyon. Dalawang beses binanggit ang linyang ito sa ikalawang bersyon ng pahayag.
“The audience (was) alluding to the massive cheating incident in 2016 when Marcos, who was then running for vice president, eventually lost despite leading by huge margins against his rival Leni Robredo through apparent computer manipulations and machinations,” dagdag ng pahayag.
Pabiro naman umanong sinabi ni Marcos na padadalhan niya ng “tone-toneladang kape” ang kanyang mga tagasuporta upang magmatyag sa bilangan pagdating ng eleksyon. Aniya, “minamalas” sila sa tuwing sila’y naiidlip.
“Walang tulugan, walang tulugan, walang tulugan,” sambit ng kanyang mga tagasuporta.

ANG TOTOO:
Naghain ng protesta si Marcos laban kay Robredo sa Korte Suprema, na umuupo bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), upang igiit na siya ang nanalong pangalawang pangulo noong 2016.
Ibinasura ng PET ang kabuuan ng protesta ni Marcos noong Pebrero 2021 dahil sa kawalan nito ng merit, patunay na si Robredo ang nanalong pangalawang pangulo.
Nakakuha si Robredo ng 14,418,817 na boto habang si Marcos ay mayroong 14,155,344. Matapos ang recount, nadagdagan pa ng higit 15,000 ang boto ni Robredo mula sa Negros Oriental, Iloilo, at Camarines Sur.
“There is no substantial recovery of votes in the pilot provinces (Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental) that he himself had designated,” ayon sa desisyon ng PET.

BAKIT ITO MAHALAGA:
Maraming tagasuporta ni Marcos ang naniniwala pa ring dinaya siya sa vice presidential election noong 2016. Patuloy na pinapakalat ito sa social media kahit mismong PET na ang nagsabing walang matibay na basehan ang akusasyon.
Inapela ni Marcos ang desisyon ng PET ngunit wala pa ring desisyon dito.
Ilang beses na ring pinabulaanan ni Robredo ang ganitong mga pahayag.
