(June 3, 2021) – Fried towel, anyone?
A woman’s Facebook post has gone viral on social media after her order of fried chicken turned to be a fried towel instead.
Alique Perez on Wednesday said she ordered from Jollibee via a food delivery service, only to discover that the food wasn’t what she expected—it wasn’t food at all.
“We had Jollibee delivered via Grab. Ordered chicken for my son. While I was trying to get him a bite, I found it super hard to even slice. Tried opening it up with my hands and to my surprise, a deep-fried towel,” said Perez in her Facebook post. “This is really disturbing. How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it?”
Just something that frustrated me this late. We had Jollibee delivered via grab. Ordered chicken for my son, while I was…

Many netizens were shocked by what happened as Jollibee is the most beloved fast food chain in the country. Plenty of Twitter users slammed Jollibee for allowing the incident to happen, worrying that other food products might have been contaminated as well.
