Wearing conservative clothes, hair in a bun, and with big round glasses, Ms. Tapsi, debuted on July 1, 2023, in a segment called “Da Bar: Dabarkads Eatery.” If the look and demeanor are familiar to long-time fans of TVJ, it’s because Ms. Tapsi’s grandmother is none other than Ms. Tapia, the renowned teacher of the Escalera brothers and Ungasis (played by TVJ) from the 1978 comedy sitcom Iskul Bukol. Brought to life by Dabarkads Ryzza Mae Dizon, Ms.Tapsi Logan is the owner Da Bar Dabarkads Eatery, the newest tambayan of the Legit Dabarkads, and is a business venture with a certain Karim Abdul Dabar, as mentioned by Ms Tapsi herself.

“Da Bar: Dabarkads Eatery” is the latest reiteration of the iconic segment Bulagaan University, later revived as Barangay Bulagaan. Instead of students in a classroom set-up, the hosts are now customers in a restaurant setting. Each group prepares knock-knock jokes inspired by the food items listed on the menu provided by Ms. Tapsi. And true to Bulagaan’s roots, the segment ends with a lively free-for-all chase where the hosts throw cream pies and spray silly strings at each other and the studio audience. Meanwhile, Mayor Jose and company join in on the fun at the remote location, by splashing pails of water onto the barangay residents.

Knockout always ang knock knock jokes ng ating Dabarkads, but we can’t help but applaud our Ms. Tapsi sa kanyang mga bentang hirit! Bilang isang may-ari ng eatery, ang kanyang priority ay makakuha ng idea para sa
