(MAY 3, 2019) – Bayan Muna maintained its lead among the 134 Comelec-accredited party-list groups in the latest preelection survey conducted by Pulse Asia.

The left-leaning group critical of the Duterte administration clinched the top spot with 7.94 percentage points, followed by Ako Bicol (6.65 percent), Magkakasama sa Sakahan, Kaunlaran (5.32 percent), and Anti-crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support, Inc. (4.67 percent).

Pulse Asia noted that all four party-lists have the statistical chance of winning three Congress seats.

Under the law, this is the maximum number of seats a party-list should be granted per term.

The following party-lists, meanwhile, have a statistical chance of winning two seats in the 18th Congress:

• Association of Philippine Electric Cooperatives (4.11 percent)
• Agricultural Sector Alliance of the Philippines (3.55 percent)
• Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption (3.12 percent)
• Coalition of Association of Senior Citizens in the Philippines, Inc. (2.92 percent)
• Anak Mindanao (2.83 percent)
• Probinsyano Ako (2.64 percent)
• Ang National Coalition of Indigenous Peoples Action Na! Inc. (2.44 percent)
• Alyansa ng mga Mamamayang Probinsyano (2.24 percent)
• Cooperative NATCCO Network (2.07 percent)

Fifty-nine seats in the lower house are up for grabs for party-list representatives as mandated by law.

Pulse Asia noted that the survey, which was participated in by 1,800 likely voters nationwide, has a ± 2.3% error margin at the 95 percent confidence level.
