(September 13, 2024) – American content creator Darren Jason Watkins Jr., widely known as IShowSpeed, made an unexpected visit to the Philippines on Wednesday, delighting his Filipino fans.
In his three-hour In Real Life (IRL) livestream, IShowSpeed immersed himself in the local culture, showcasing the warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people.

IShowSpeed engaged in a one-on-one basketball match with a Filipino fan and expressed his excitement upon receiving a LeBron James jersey.
The American content creator also tried eating siopao. He humorously reacted to fans calling out “meow meow,” pertaining to cat meat.
Navigating through Manila’s heavy traffic, he utilized a delivery service to experience the city’s traffic firsthand.

IShowSpeed even visited some places in Manila where he was mobbed by fans as he became stuck in a store in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
“Philippines, you’re all f***** crazy,” he exclaimed, celebrating the 100,000 new subscribers gained during his livestream.
Speed meets boxing legend Manny Pacquiao
Speed had a memorable encounter with 8-time division world champion Manny Pacquiao on Thursday, September 12.
During the visit, Pacman gave Speed a tour of his home and playfully challenged him to a friendly sparring match.
In response to fans requesting a punch test, Manny jokingly asked, “Do you have insurance?”
Speed tried balut and sang Manny’s song, “Para Sa’yo Ang Laban Na’to.”
Manny Pacquiao gifted Speed a boxing gloves and got signed by the boxer.
Speed hits 29.5M YT subscribers
Speed promised his viewers, “Chat, if I hit 29.5 million in this stream, I swear to God, I’ll come back and do another stream here.”
Before the stream ended, Speed reached 29.5 million subscribers on YouTube, and in just two days, garnered 500,000 subscribers during his visit in the country.
