(April 4, 2025) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) will deploy 40,151 police officers as part of the “Oplan Ligtas SumVac 2025” campaign to ensure public safety and security during the upcoming Holy Week and summer vacation.
PNP released a set of operational guidelines for police units and stations aimed to provide a safe and peaceful environment for those traveling back to their provinces or heading to tourist destinations during Holy Week and other events.
The PNP will also intensify checkpoint operations to ensure the safety of all travelers.
All police regional offices have been directed to conduct regular inspections and mobile patrols to ensure maximum police presence in crowded locations such as bus terminals, seaports, airports, and other transportation hubs.
Police Assistance Desks will be set up in transport hubs, tourist spots, and other crowded places to provide immediate assistance to the public.
Law enforcement operations will also be strengthened to prevent any criminal activity, while security at key facilities, terminals, and places of worship will be tightened through intelligence monitoring and security inspections.
Strict implementation of traffic management and road safety measures will be enforced to ease congestion and prevent road accidents.
Marbil urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and immediately report any suspicious activity.
Meanwhile, the PNP reminded all travelers to ensure their homes are properly locked before leaving, stay alert in their surroundings, and follow safety guidelines in crowded places.
