(June 6, 2024) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday reported the link of the Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hubs raided in Porac, Pampanga and Bamban, Tarlac.
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said the Lucky South 99 in Porac, which was raided last Tuesday, is connected with Zun Yuan Technology Inc. in Bamban, which was raided last March.
“May mga na-recover doon na mga evidence na puwedeng magsabi na itong incorporators ng Lucky South ay kasama doon sa illegal activities,” said Fajardo, noting that the POGO hub has been illegally operating since late last year.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation denied the application of Lucky South 99 to operate as an internet gaming establishment last May.
Following the raid, the chief of Porac PNP was relieved from his post.
“Titignan natin kung meron bang liability ang LGU (local government unit) na nag-e-exist itong company na ito na napakalaki. How come hindi nila naamoy?” said Fajardo.
She refused to divulge information if the raided POGO hubs are specifically connected with suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo. She was allegedly involved in the illegal activities of Zun Yuan Technology Inc.
Led by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), authorities raided Lucky South 99 following reports of employees being tortured or sold for sex.
Hundreds of foreign nationals, however, already fled the compound prior to the raid, according to the PNP.
“Maaaring may leak or wala since nandoon na ‘yung presence ng ilang mga personnel. Siguro nabulabog ‘yung mga taong nandoon, nakita nila may mga pulis na,” said Fajardo.

Over 180 foreign and Filipino workers were rescued during the operation, including 37 Chinese nationals.
One foreigner was also discovered chained to a bed frame. He was allegedly tortured, as he was covered in wounds and bruises.
“According to him, he was a kidnap victim,” said Fajardo.
