(February 17, 2021) – Still standing.
Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday said she is ready to face more critics after the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) unanimously junked the electoral protest of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos against her, saying the entire ordeal still a blessing.
Robredo acknowledged there could be more attacks from trolls and bashers, but said she is still grateful for the amount of support she has been receiving.
Robredo added dealing with insults, even from President Rodrigo Duterte and his allies hasn’t been easy, but she remain resolute in her duty to serve those who trust her.
Robredo also fired back at Duterte’s latest comment that she is unfit to be the president of the Philippines.
Robredo also pointed out that Duterte and other government officials should listen to suggestions from other stakeholders instead of just insulting them.
Robredo’s camp posted a photo on Twitter on Tuesday capturing the moment when the PET announced its decision on Marcos’ electoral protest.

Robredo’s daughter, Tricia, meanwhile, posted on Instagram, saying “Good morning, three-peater,” referring to her mom’s three victories over Marcos.
Many Twitter users have also shown their support for Robredo.
Let’s not make him popular, this decision isn’t about his 3rd lost, it is about VP @lenirobredo ‘s 3rd WIN.

The other Marcos lost to yet another widow. Not just once. Not even twice. He lost thrice!
Nevertheless, Leni Robredo is not a mere widow. She always goes beyond our expectations from her as the vice president. #LabanLeni pic.twitter.com/EZoix4CfFv

Robredo has remained mum on her plans for the 2022 elections, but she has previously said she’s not closing her doors on running for president.
