(November 11, 2024) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday addressed allegations that the P305 million confiscated from recent raids of two Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) is missing.
In a media briefing, the PNP said the money — P187.8 million from Clark Sun Valley Hub Corp. in Pampanga and P117.1 million from Xinchuang Network Technology, Inc. in Las Piñas — remain secured and are available for court inspection if required.
“These are considered fruits of the crime and the case is ongoing. Again, once the case is pending before the competent court, lahat ng gagawin ng PNP, even sa proper disposal ng mga seized evidence, including money ay depende sa magiging disposition ng korte,” said PNP spkersperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.
She also noted that no cash was confiscated in a separate raid of Vertex Technology Corp. in Century Peak Tower in Manila since police officers did not have a search warrant to access the safety vault.
“May mga lumalabas na misinformation and disinformation to put some cloud of doubt dito sa latest na operation po ng ACG (Anti-Cybercrime Group) at PNP-NCRPO (National Capital Region Regional Office) doon sa Century Peak Tower,” added Fajardo.
The PNP-ACG raided Century Peak Tower last October 29, suspecting cryptocurrency and romance scam activities tied to POGOs.
However, property managers claimed that the warrant was meant for Vertex Technology Corp., which already vacated the premises last year. They claimed that the PNP accessed unauthorized floors and tampered with CCTV cameras.

Last Thursday, the PNP confirmed the suspension of the heads of the PNP-ACG and the NCRPO following the raid.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Sidney Hernia and PNP-ACG chief Maj. Gen. Ronnie Francis Cariaga were “administratively relieved for a period of 10 days” due to extortion allegations involving arrested foreigners.
“I will not tolerate any wrongdoing within our ranks, and I firmly urge the accusers to substantiate their claims in the proper forum. The NCRPO fully welcomes any investigation into this matter,” said Hernia in a statement.
