(May 11, 2025) — As public discourse online intensifies in the lead-up to the 2025 midterm elections, there is a stronger need for real-time social media insights to better understand and report on what Filipinos truly care about.
Recognizing this need, MQuest Ventures has partnered with Meltwater to deliver deeper, data-driven perspectives that enrich the Bilang Pilipino 2025 election coverage across broadcast and digital platforms. Meltwater is a global leader in media, social and consumer intelligence.
“Social listening tools like Meltwater allow us to move beyond traditional methods of gathering news and tapping directly into the evolving public conversation,” said News5 chief Patrick Paez.
“Just as importantly, these digital insights complement the work of our reporters on the ground, helping us brainstorm, spot patterns, and craft deeper, more impactful stories,” Paez added.

Through the collaboration, MQuest Ventures and Meltwater have launched a live elections dashboard designed to monitor, track, and analyze digital conversations surrounding the national elections.

The dashboard can uncover which topics — whether it’s jobs, health, education, corruption, and public safety — have generated the most online engagement over time. It also provides a pulse check on the digital traction of leading senatorial candidates by analyzing the volume of mentions, reach and engagement, and emerging keyphrases attached to their names.
Moreover, it can identify the most active online platforms where election discussions are taking place, whether that’s X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Reddit, or other digital communities.
“In the Philippines where 78% of people actively use social media, real-time insights help newsrooms and the public stay on top of what voters across various communities are really talking about. Media can offer more accurate, inclusive reporting while also helping spot misinformation before it spreads,” said Weldon Fung, Meltwater’s spokesperson and Southeast Asia Enterprise Strategy Lead.
In an age where information overload can easily blur the line between what’s trending and what’s truly important, Bilang Pilipino 2025’s approach aims to cut through the noise. By treating online discourse not just as background chatter but as editorial input, MediaQuest’s coverage becomes more grounded, representative, and relevant.
Catch the Bilang Pilipino 2025 election coverage across the print, radio, television, and digital platforms of MediaQuest’s leading news organizations — including News5, TrueFM, One News, One PH, The Philippine Star, BusinessWorld, The Freeman, and Pilipino Star Ngayon. Filipinos can also follow Bilang Pilipino on Facebook and TikTok (@BilangPilipino), on Threads and Instagram (@BilangPilipinoOfficial), and on bilangpilipino.com.
“Bilang Pilipino,” which translates to “as Filipinos,” is also a call to action — urging voters to recognize their responsibility and the transformative power of their vote as a catalyst for change.
